Brooke Miller, MA, LMFT
Executive Director
Brooke holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Southern California and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, with a certificate in applied mythology. She is also a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses scholar.
Brooke started Honey in 2014 as Honey for Moms, after becoming a mother herself and realizing she couldn't be the only one struggling to find care that actually understood what she was going through. That pattern, sitting inside a real pain point and building what was missing, has shaped everything since.
Honey for Moms grew into Honey Mental Health, widening its focus beyond moms to meet the full range of people who need care. Underneath all of it is Brooke's love of story - the belief that people, and the businesses built to serve them, are best understood through the narratives they're actually living, not just the problems on the surface.
Brooke is a trained and licensed therapist, though her work today is focused on leading Honey Mental Health along with sister company, Practice House Billing & Credentialing, co-founded by her and her husband Jason.
Brooke sets the vision and strategy across Honey, speaks and leads corporate and professional trainings on mental health, and is currently writing, with her first book underway. Her work and voice have been featured in The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Crain's Detroit, Postpartum Support International, and The Ricki Lake Show.
