Miriam Shumulinsky, MA, LPC

Clinical Director

Miriam is a graduate of the University of Baltimore with a background in neuropsychology and extensive experience working with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, abuse, suicidality, and relationship challenges. She specializes in Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based approaches, and integrative care, helping clients move beyond simply managing symptoms to understand and address what is driving them.

At the heart of Miriam’s work is a passion for holistic, comprehensive care. She believes meaningful change happens when we look at the whole person-their internal world, relationships, environment, patterns, and experiences-and understand how those pieces work together. Her goal is not simply to help clients feel better in the moment, but to create deeper, systemic shifts that allow them to move sustainably toward their goals and experience a more connected, fulfilling quality of life. Her empathy, authenticity, and candor create a space where clients can feel deeply understood while also being challenged to grow.

As Clinical Director, Miriam’s influence runs through nearly every layer of clinical care at Honey. She trains, mentors, and clinically supports therapists and supervisors while helping shape the standards, systems, and philosophy that guide care across the practice. She is deeply passionate about clinical education and the continued development of mental health professionals, with a particular commitment to cultivating thoughtful, elevated, and highly skilled clinicians.

For Miriam, clinical excellence is not just about knowing the right interventions, it’s about continually asking better questions, understanding the person beneath the symptoms, and providing care that has the potential to meaningfully change a life.
